The beauty masterclass is a project offered by the school to students every year in order to create a cosmetic advertisement intended for sale. It is a triptych : a portrait photo, a texture photo and still-life.

I imagined for these three photos that they follow and stage a character who, after having played a game and lost her money, lost control of her own accord.

The first photo is a picture of mood: it illustrates a scene of play in we could imagine a bad turn. Playing cards, alcohol, coins, broken glass, cigarette butts, we can feel through the scene a certain decadence. The atmosphere is burlesque, chic, elegant, theatrical, both feminine and quite obscure.

The second photo is a portrait of the character : A girl we imagine emerging from a nervous breakdown, extinguished by her defeat. Deconstructed makeup, dramatic attitude, theatrical light, the photo takes up the stylistic codes of still-life (colors, atmospheres...).

The third photo is a texture photo :

an exploded and decomposed eyeshadow palette. This makes sense to the decadence scene, we can imagine that the character broke it with a lot of anger.
